The topic of my article is about a food shortage. The title of my article is “The American Food shortages you knew nothing about”. I found this article on offthegridnews.com.  The United States simply is not growing enough vegetables to meet its needs, data collected by the USDA’s Economic Research Service indicates.
Around 1.65 cups of vegetables were available per person per day in the United States in 2013, even though dietary guidelines recommends person consume 2.5 to 3 cups of vegetables a day, NPR reported, using government data. This of course effects me because I’m a human in America and I feel like this should worry the citizens.  We should be doing all we can to fix this problem. This also effects the world in many many ways by causing us to not be able to eat all the vegetables we should be. The world I feel will now pay more attention to this event.  We should all come together and make a change.

The topic of my article is a shooting. The title of my article “Father of Umpqua college shooting victim: Gunman singled out Christians.” I found this article on cnn.com.  Thursday, October 1st, a shooting at a community college in Oregon, a total of 10 people were shot and killed.  There are also a handful of people injured and put in hospitals to be taken care of. This shooting was a very traumatic event.  This event effects me in a way that will cause me to feel not as safe as I should in my school. It makes me feel sad for all the lives lost or injured. These kind of events should be taken very seriously in my opinion I feel like school shootings have happened way to many times and I feel we should be trying to fix this more than we are. This event also effects the world by changing the lives of all the families that lost their loved ones. Students should feel safe at their school not scared for their lives. School security will for sure be bumped up and taken more seriously. People were still recovering from the Last public shooting, like the movie theater shooting that just happened a little over a year ago.

1.) Because of the phenomenal test scores over the past three years. This policy will start September 21st and will make open campus lunch available to all students except freshman.

2.) In a result of the petition being sent around, recieving a super Walmart is being considered. The petition will be sent out January 26th.

3.)Being tested to be a genius, Napolean was discovered to be only a 6th grader but has the copasity of high schoolers.

Black Lives Matter is an activist movement in the United States that began in the wake of the July 2013 acquittal of George Zimmerman in the Florida shooting death of African-American teen Trayvon Martin. The movement was co-founded by three black activists: Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi.Although the three run a stable website and organization, the overall Black Lives Matter movement is a decentralized network.
This movement affects the world by causing riots and more movements in these type of situations! I feel like stuff should be taking more seriously and that all races should matter and that it should not be more important just because of a race.

A carcinogen is any substance, radionuclide, or radiation that is an agent directly involved in causing cancer. Several radioactive substances are considered carcinogens, but their carcinogenic activity is attributed to the radiation.This maybe because of the ability to damage the genome or to the disruption of cellular metabolic processes.

Some sources that cause this:
•Lifestyle factors.
•Naturaly accruing exposures.
•Medical Treatments (radiation and medicines including chemotherapy, hormone drugs and etc.)
• Workplace and House exposures.

Carcinogens may increase the chance of cancer by damanging DNA directly in cells.
After carcinogen enters the human body it goes through a process called biotransformation to try and eliminate it.

The topic of my article is about a dad possibly loosing kids because of using a gun as self defense. The name of my article is “Parents could lose kids because father used gun in self defense.”, and was found on offthegridnews.com.The event began after some upset neighbors appeared on their lawn. Kristi called 911, and Rod grabbed his legally owned gun and stood ready to protect his family while waiting for the police to arrive.
Three months later the Beber family was informed that The Department of Family Services felt Rod had made a poor decision when grabbing his gun to protect his family and he may be loosing his own kids over this decision to protect his family. This event does not effect me in anyways but I feel as if the family was majorly effected just because a father was doing his job to protect his family.

The topic of my article is Kayne West running for president in the year 2020. The title of my article is “Kayne West declares 2020 presidentation I found this article on cnn.com.
Previously on the 2015 VMA awards Kayne West announced that he is planning to run for president in the next election.
He stated he was running for president because he had “New ideas” he wanted to do. In my opinion, I think Kayne running for president is not an intelligent decision, even during the VMAS when he announced this news he used to wrong grammar and didn’t sound very sophisticated or dedicated. Being president is a very important job and I believe having him run for it should not be allowed because I feel it will cause the voters to have a biased vote just because he is already famous. I feel this event effects me because he will be in charge of the country I live in. I feel like this event would only cause publicity to Kayne while the world will be effected by this in numerous ways. Kayne running for president was a bad decision in my opinion, what about yours?

Do I think the U.S should have stricter gun control laws? No, I do Not believe we should, Humans use guns in many situations. We deserve to use guns for certain reasons and I don’t think it should have to be stricter.If you believe we need stricter gun laws then you must not think we deserve to have self protection.

A large number of humans use guns to protect themselves from things such as personal protection, or break ins. If we have stricter gun control laws, we wouldn’t be able to protect ourselves from major events.    If the government did have stricter gun control laws, it would be like taking away our second amen

 Since 1988, gun ownership has increased over 1200% while at the same time gun deaths and gun crimes in general have decreased by almost 60%. Instead of jumping to conclusions and making false statements based on the lies of the 5 o’clock news, try doing some research.

Our country was built on war, and war had guns, which is also what helped us win the war.  If history repeats itself, don’t you think we should have guns in case more things like that happen again?

After reading this, I hope you agree with me on how we deserve certain gun laws. But if you do not then don’t get upset when someone breaks into your home and you have no use or protection.

Overall the book Swallowing Stones by Joyce Mcdonald was an 9 out of a ten. The book did an amazing job at keeping you at the edge of your seat and making you not want to put the book down. This book will make you laugh and fall in love with it over and over again.

My favorite character of this book was Jenna Ward, I feel like the author did a good job with explaining and making it very understandable on how she was feeling with her father’s death.

I actually felt I was experiencing and feeling what they were going through. The only thing keeping this book from reaching a 10 out of 10 is the ending, I hated how it left you in mystery on what happens to Michael. It left me with so many questions, what did jenna say after Michael told her?…What ended up happening to his friend?….and many more.

In the end, the author did a great job getting the point across on how one little lie turns into a huge mess and can bring many many people into the problems and how it is easier just to tell the truth in the beginning.
